Bowen Paulle

Bowen (Bo) Paulle has been working in, researching, and reforming (high poverty) schools and urban school systems since 1996. After advocating for bringing High Dosage Tutoring (HDT) to the Netherlands, and after using multiple randomised controlled trials to evaluate HDT’s effects when implemented by two non-profits serving vulnerable kids in the Netherlands, Paulle elected to leave his position as associate professor at the UvA for four days a week to head Stichting The Bridge Learning Interventions, one of the two non-profits implementing HDT in NL. “Bridge HDT” is currently supported by, among other institutions, the Ministry of Education (OCW) and Amsterdam’s municipal government.
